Me & Mrs Jones DJ Set - Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Richard Jones (from the pop band, THE FEELING)

Sophie Ellis-Bextor has released four albums and enjoyed an endless amount of Top 5 hit singles. Sophie may be the ultimate pop starlet but she’s no pop puppet – she was heavily involved with all parts of her album, co-writing much of it and working with an in-demand team of writer/producers that includes Calvin Harris, Armin Van Buuren. Freemasons, Greg Kurstin, Cathy Dennis, Metronomy and Richard X.

As part of Me & Mrs Jones, Sophie has been taking her love of music to the dancefloors of the UK and beyond.  Her husband and DJ partner, Richard Jones has enjoyed huge chart success as part of pop band, The Feeling. The band have already had one Number One album and their debut, ‘Twelve Stops from home’ reached Number Two in the UK charts and received fantastic reviews.

This time spent DJing certainly had an effect on Straight To The Heart. Nearly every song on it is a stiletto snapping dance floor demon. “Four to the floor! I do what I do and I really enjoy it”, says Sophie, “In the past I’ve tried out different things, but I always come back to the stuff I do best, which is electro pop, and it’s also what I really enjoy. Sometimes you can’t fight it. There’s plenty of time for me to do…whatever it is you’re supposed to do when you get old.”

As a duo, the two make up DJ partners, ‘Me & Mrs Jones’ and are currently taking bookings for the rest of 2011 until mid February 2012.
